Drivers compete for Lothian Driver of the YearAnnual competition returns to the Royal Highland Centre

The return of Lothian’s Driver of the Year competition was a welcome sight on Wednesday 11 May at the Royal Highland Centre. Last held in 2019 due to the pandemic, the competition is an opportunity for drivers from across the Lothian family to test their skills through a variety of challenges which include a theory test, obstacle course and road drive.

Eighteen drivers were put through their paces on the day at Ingliston, but it wasn’t all work and no play as the event was a brilliant opportunity to catch up with colleagues from different garages and enjoy a delicious barbecue provided by Lothian’s catering team.

With the points tallied, the final result at the close of play was as follows:

All of Lothian would like to thank everyone involved in making the day such a success, and to wish our finalists the very best of luck for the UK-wide competition later this year.
