Lothian to celebrate Scottish Bus WeekScottish Bus Week runs from 23 - 29 May 2022

Lothian is delighted to be participating in Scottish Bus Week, a week-long celebration of the bus industry and the people behind keeping the wheels turning 365 days a year.

An initiative from #LoveMyBus (Transform Scotland) and supported by Paths for All and various partners including Lothian, Scottish Bus Week will be delivered in partnership with CPT Scotland to promote bus travel, the positives of bus travel and the benefits of leaving cars at home.

While buses can reduce emissions, air pollution and inequalities across our communities, they also make a significant contribution to our economy. Scotland manufactures low and zero emission buses. Investment in building buses and providing bus services creates good jobs. Buses reduce congestion which can cost Scotland £2 billion a year. Scottish Bus Week is also a great opportunity to show our gratitude to all those who deliver these essential services throughout recent challenging times.

We will have a variety of activities across the week to mark the occasion, including a roadshow on Thursday 26 May between 10am and 2pm at Edinburgh University’s Central area campus. Keep your eyes peeled on our social media channels for more information. We’d also love for customers to get involved by sharing why you #TrustInBus – tag us in your posts and photos so we can share with colleagues and industry partners how valued their efforts are.
