Our business, like many others, continues to feel the operational impact of the Omicron strain of Covid-19 due to self-isolation requirements and sickness levels in teams across the organisation.
Lothian services are currently operating a Saturday service on weekdays with a number of enhancements for schools and Easter Bush. In light of ongoing pressures, we will continue to run a Saturday service on weekdays until Friday 28 January to help ensure the stability and reliability of our network. We are, however, able to reinstate Service 45 from Monday 24 January to accommodate students returning to campuses. The Service 45 will operate on a revised route due to ongoing road diversions in place around York Place, details of which can be found on our City Centre Diversions story.
We are beginning to see an improving trend in sickness levels and if this continues over the next 7 days we are hopeful that we will return to the weekday timetables that were in operation before the festive period from Monday 31 January.
Our Lothian Country services are currently running a Saturday service on weekdays however, from Monday 24 January, we will return to normal weekday service.
East Coast Buses are already running a normal service.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all colleagues for their continued efforts and commitment, and all our customers for their patience and understanding at this time.
If you are planning a journey on our services, we ask that you continue to help us to keep our colleagues and fellow customers safe by following the latest Scottish Government guidance which can be found on our Safe Travel page. This includes the wearing of a face covering over your nose and mouth for the duration of your journey unless exempt, and leaving windows open to increase ventilation.
Please allow more time for your travel.
