What’s on in September

The festivals are over and we’re now into September!

But don’t worry….  there’s still lots to do in Edinburgh, here’s our top 5 for this month.

1. Our Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail Farewell 13-15 September
Come into St Andrew Square to see all the Edinburgh Oor Wullie sculptures in one place before they are auctioned off for charity.

Take the bus into town to take photos with your favourites.

2 Edinburgh Wedding Exhibition 14 – 15 September
If you’re getting married in the next couple of years, hop on the bus to the Edinburgh Wedding Exhibition ath BT Murrayfield.  Look out for the team from Lothian Motorcoaches there.

3. Edinburgh Riding of the Marches – 15 September
The Edinburgh Riding of the Marches was formed in 2008 to promote and facilitate the annual re-enactment of the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches and all its associated traditions, Taking its roots from the historical Common Ridings of Scotland, 300 horses will travel up the Royal Mile to Johnston Terrace, Lady Lawson Street, West Port and the Grassmarket, where the ride will conclude at Kings Stables Road.

4. Ant Middleton at the Usher Hall – 21 September
Best known as the Chief Instructor on the Channel 4 television series SAS: Who Dares Wins, Ant Middleton brings his fully immersive show to the Usher Hall recreating what mental strength it took behind the scenes for Ant to complete his recent SAS series and his huge Everest challenge.

5. It’s Doors Open Day – 28 September
It’s everyone’s favourite weekend – Doors Open Day.

Come down to our Central garage from 1200 – 1600 to see a display of our fleet from throughout the decades, visit our bus-themed kid’s zone, take a trip through the bus wash and see our garage from an open top bus. There will also be Vintage Running Event on the Service 26, with vintage vehicles running the route from Haymarket to Eastfield.
