Lothian took home two awards at this year’s Scottish Transport Awards 2025 in Glasgow on 19 June.
The Scottish Transport Awards – now in their 22nd year – bring the transport community across Scotland together to celebrate and recognise industry achievements over the last 12 months.
Shortlisted in six categories across the evening, Lothian won in the category of Excellence in Social and Community Value for our work with Police Scotland on Operation Crackle, combatting the rise in antisocial behaviour during the Halloween-Bonfire Night period.

Lothian picked up another award as Lothian Country’s Service 43 was recognised as Scotland’s Best Bus Service in what the judges described as a ‘fantastic example of customer-focused innovation’ for restoring vital links, growing patronage and cutting fares.
The success in these annual awards represents Lothian’s strong performance over the last 12 months and follows on the operator’s win at the UK-wide National Transport Awards where it was named Best Bus Operator of the Year in late 2024.
Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Lothian said: “We are delighted to have won two accolades at this year’s Scottish Transport Awards: Excellence in Social and Community Value for our work with Police Scotland and Best Bus Service: Lothian Country Service 43.
“These awards are a testament to the dedication and passion of the teams across the business who continue to go above and beyond to ‘get it right’ for our customers.”
