Countdown on for shut down of old TfE AppApp to be permanently closed on 31 May 2025

The TfE App has reached the end of its lifecycle and will close down on 31 May 2025.

Since the launch of the Bus & Tram App last year, customers have been migrating from the old TfE App which was reaching the end of its lifecycle.

Having had a chance to familiarise themselves with the new features and layout in the Bus & Tram App, it is intended that the TfE App will permanently shut down on 31 May 2025.

As we continue to evolve the Bus & Tram App, some new features have been added to help customers plan their travel across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Bus Routes and Timetables

Customers can now access bus routes and timetables in-app via the ‘info’ page. Users can select their preferred service to view full timetable information for that route (with the ability to amend the direction and date of travel). When accessing the route and timetable view, any live service updates for their chosen route will also be displayed to help customers make informed decisions before setting off on their journey.

Service updates also have their own dedicated section (also located within the ‘info’ page of the app) which lists all active/planned bus service updates affecting our network, with the ability to expand individual alerts to read more about the nature of the disruption, expected duration, etc.

If you don’t have automatic updates turned on in your smartphone, please check your app store to manually update the app if available.
