A service change will take effect on the Eve network from Sunday 30 June.
Minor timetable changes will simplify routes and improve reliability while also improving access to the wider Lothian network. These changes have been made following full consultation with East Lothian Council.
Simplified route in Dunbar
- Service 120 will no longer operate via Kellie Road and Lochend Road and will remain on Spott Road. Newhouse Avenue will still be served by the service, in both directions.
- Buses will no longer divert via Dunbar Grammar School and will remain on A1087/Belhaven Road where an alternative pair of bus stop is available. Currently school pupils travelling on EastCoastbuses X7 service are using these alternative stops.
Revised timetable
- Minor timetable changes on Monday-Friday and Saturday with consistent running times introduced and with all journeys operating the same route between Dunbar and North Berwick.
- Improved Sunday timetable with the introduction of four additional return journeys.
Simplified route in North Berwick
- Service 121 will no longer divert via North Berwick High School, buses will operate direct from Haddington Road to Lochbridge Road. Alternative stops are located at the west end of Lochbridge Road along with a raised zebra crossing to reach the High School.
- Minor timetable changes with improved and consistent running times introduced and all journeys apart from the first one in each direction operating the same route between North Berwick and Haddington.
A simplified route and timetable will be introduced
- In Haddington, Lynn Lea Avenue, Seggarsdean Crescent and Briery Bank will no longer be served by Service 123. The Nungate area will still be served by Prentice of Haddington Service 101 (Haddington Town Service).
- All buses will depart from Haddington High Street.
- All buses will operate via B6368/Sidegate/Poldrate.
- All short loop journeys will operate clockwise (via Gifford first and then Bolton).
- All long loop journeys will serve Glenkinchie Distillery and Long Cram in Haddington.
- Minor changes to the Monday to Friday and Saturday timetable.
- Sunday service will be withdrawn but will be partly replaced by additional journeys on Service 120.
From Sunday 30 June, Eve customers will also be able to use Lothian Network and East Coast buses County and CountyPLUS day tickets on Services 120, 121, 123 and 130.
