Travelling by train to/from Edinburgh?

Rugby fans are being urged to plan ahead and allow additional time for travel, particularly on their journey home, due to limited access at Haymarket Station caused by the ongoing redevelopment of an adjacent building. Any customers travelling from Haymarket will be required to use the main entrance.  Train customers should expect longer waiting times, and passengers are asked to consider travelling straight to Edinburgh Waverley after the final whistle to reduce their need to queue, or postponing their travel home until later in the evening.

Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams provide links into the city centre, so please consider travelling onwards to Waverley Station with us if you need to travel by train after the match. More information is available on ScotRail’s website.

Buses will be subject to diversions in the Murrayfield area after the match, affecting Services 1, 2, 12, 22, 26, 30, 31, 100, X18, X27 and X28. Diversion information can be found below, as well as on the homepage of the mobile app or via our Service Updates page.

Diversions may also be put in place at short notice before the match if deemed necessary by the authorities. Please check the Service Updates page before travelling.
