Scotland face France in second round of the 2024 Six Nations ChampionshipTwo nations to clash on Saturday 10 February at SG Murrayfield in Edinburgh

Scotland will host France at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday 10th February during the second round of the 2024 Six Nations Championship.

Kick-off is at 1415 hrs, and spectators are strongly encouraged to plan journeys well in advance to reach the stadium early to avoid queues and bottlenecks at the turnstiles.

There will also be diversions in the Murrayfield area which will impact those leaving the match – please see below for details or visit our Service Updates page.

If travelling by car from outwith the city, please consider using Park & Ride facilities.

Ingliston Park & Ride – Scottish Murrayfield Stadium:

  • Service X12 will depart at 1130, 1145, 1200, then every 12 minutes between 1348 hrs.
  • Regular departures from Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium to Ingliston Park & Ride after the game.

Hermiston Park & Ride – Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium:

  • Service 25 to Gorgie Road (10-minute walk to the stadium) up to every 12 minutes.

Travelling by train to/from Edinburgh?

Rugby fans are being urged to plan ahead and allow additional time for travel, particularly on their journey home, due to limited access at Haymarket Station caused by the ongoing redevelopment of an adjacent building. Any customers travelling from Haymarket will be required to use the main entrance.  Train customers should expect longer waiting times, and passengers are asked to consider travelling straight to Edinburgh Waverley after the final whistle to reduce their need to queue, or postponing their travel home until later in the evening. 

Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams provide links into the city centre, so please consider travelling onwards to Waverley Station with us if you need to travel by train after the match. More information is available on ScotRail’s website.

Buses will be subject to diversions in the Murrayfield area, affecting Services 1, 2, 12, 22, 26, 30, 31, 100, X18, X27 and X28. Diversion information can be found below, as well as on the homepage of the mobile app or via our Service Updates page.

Haymarket, Wester Coates & Corstorphine Road diversions

These diversions will be in place between approximately 1230 – 1400 hrs and 1515 – 1815 hrs.

Service 12 (westbound) – between Morrison Link and Corstorphine Road, buses will be diverted via Morrison Street, West Maitland Street, Palmerston Place, Douglas Gardens, Belford Terrace, Belford Road, Ravelston Dykes and Murrayfield Road when heading westbound.

Service 12 (eastbound) – between Corstorphine Road and Morrison Link, buses will be diverted via Murrayfield Road, Ravelston Dykes, Belford Road, Belford Terrace, Douglas Gardens, Palmerston Place and Torphichen Place when heading eastbound.

Services 26, 31, 100 & X18 – between Princes Street and Corstorphine Road, buses will be diverted via Queensferry Street, Queensferry Road, Queensferry Terrace, Ravelston Dykes and Murrayfield Road in both directions.

West Approach Road & Westfield diversions

These diversions will be in place between approximately 1515 – 1815 hrs.

Services 1 & 22 – between Balgreen Road and West Approach Road (22)/Fountainpark (1), buses will be diverted via Balgreen Road, Gorgie Road and Henderson Terrace in both directions.

Service 2 – between Balgreen Road and Dalry Road, buses will be diverted via Balgreen Road and Gorgie Road in both directions.

Service 30, X27 & X28 – between Saughton Gardens and West Approach Road, buses will be diverted via Balgreen Road, Gorgie Road and Henderson Terrace in both directions.

For security reasons supporters are urged where possible not to bring bags to Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Bags larger than A4 size (21cm x 30cm) will not be permitted unless required for medical or childcare reasons. Bags A4 size or smaller will be searched prior to entry into the stadium.
