Scottish Half Marathon on Sunday 24 SeptemberBus services to be diverted for annual event

The Scottish Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 24 September, resulting in road closures across East Lothian in various stages from 0500 hrs until 1600 hrs.

A number of bus services will be affected, including Lothian’s Service 26, and East Coast Buses Services 106, 113 and 124. A free shuttle bus service will be available in affected areas.

Customers are advised to bear this in mind before travelling and to allow extra time to complete their journey. Please check our Service Updates page before travelling for the latest diversions and service alerts.

Service 26
(from 0500 hrs to 1600 hrs approximately)

Service 26 – Seton Sands journeys – from Levenhall, buses will be diverted via Haddington Road, B1361, Preston Road, Hawthorn Road, Schaw Road and terminate at Preston Lodge High School.
 
Service 26 – Tranent journeys – between Levenhall and Preston Road will be diverted via Haddington Road and B1361.
 
Between 0600 hrs and 1600 hrs a free shuttle service will operate between Prestonpans and Seton Sands via Port Seton to allow customers to connect with Service 26. Download the Service 26 Shuttle Bus timetable.

Service 124
(from 0500 hrs to 1600 hrs approximately)

Between Longniddry and Dirleton, Service 124 will be diverted via B1377 to Drem, then B1345 to the junction of the A198 prior to Dirleton.

A free shuttle bus will operate between North Berwick Church Road and Aberlady Community Hall. Download Service 124 Shuttle Bus Timetable.

Service 124
(between 1030 and 1200 hrs approximately, a separate diversion will be in place)

Between Strawberry Corner and Dirleton, Service 124 will be diverted via A199 to Dolpingstone, A1 to Gateside roundabout, A199 Haldane Avenue, A6137 to Balencrieff roundabout, B1377 to Drem, B1345 to the junction of the A198 prior to Dirleton.

Services 106, 113 & 124
(from 0500 to 1600 hrs approximately)

Between Musselburgh High Street and Haddington Road, Services 106, 113 and 124 will be diverted via Newbigging and Pinkie Road in both directions.
