Lothian to mark Remembrance Day 2021City operator to honour fallen servicemen and women

Lothian will pay tribute to all lives lost in the world wars and subsequent conflicts since then as part of this year’s Remembrance Day commemorations.

On Thursday 11 November, services will pause (where safely able to do so) for two-minutes at 11am to allow colleagues and customers to show their respects on Armistice Day. Our Head of Operations will also lay a wreath on behalf of the company on Sunday 14 November at the Stone of Remembrance outside Edinburgh’s City Chambers as part of the Remembrance Sunday service.

We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Poppyscotland, who are reliant on the generosity of the public to fund its vital life-changing work for the armed forces community in Scotland.

This year marks 100 years of the poppy flower being used as a mark of remembrance, and our eye-catching Poppyscotland bus has received a refresh in view of reaching this significant milestone.

If you would like to contribute to Poppyscotland’s work, donations can be made online in addition to collection and honesty boxes at locations across the city (including our TravelHubs).
