From Sunday 2 August Lothian will introduce changes to routes and timetables for Lothian Buses, East Coast Buses, Lothian Country to help keep Edinburgh and the Lothians moving as the country continues to move through the Scottish Government’s routemap to recovery.
For the last four months, teams across Lothian have continued to analyse customer travel patterns and customer feedback to ensure the business is meeting the needs of as many travellers as possible. Key highlights of this change include the re-introduction of the service 12 between Gyle Centre and City Centre, X5 between North Berwick and Edinburgh and the X17 between Loganlea and Broxburn. Lothian will also be re-introducing the Service 3 to Dalkeith Campus and the Service 37 to Easter Bush.
We are also introducing increased frequencies across key routes including the 3, 11, 16, 25 & 30 and improving evening frequencies across the network.

Service 1
Minor timetable changes with improvements to the evening service.
Service 2
No change.
Service 3
Revised timetable. Frequency increased to every 10 minutes on Monday to Friday, with 2 buses per hour serving Dalkeith Campus and 4 buses per hour serving Mayfield. Saturday daytime frequency increased to every 12-minutes.
