To allow the Edinburgh Marathon to take place this weekend, various road and bus stops around Edinburgh and East Lothian will be closed.
On Saturday 24 May, services 2, 47 and 300 will be unable to serve Potterow and Nicolson Square from 1800 and there will be a some diversions in place across the east of the City and East Lothian throughout Sunday.
Full details of diversions can be found on our Service Update page.
If you are travelling to and from the finishing point in Musselburgh, you can get there easily on bus services 26, 44, 106, 113 or 124. There will be extra buses running on these routes.
Please note only Lothian/East Coast Buses tickets or Scottish National Concession Cards will be accepted for travel on these buses – pre-purchased tickets for use on event shuttle buses will not be valid.
We do recommend you allow extra time for your journeys across the area on Sunday as traffic is expected to be busier than normal.
If you’re taking part this weekend, GOOD LUCK from us.
