Lothian Country announce fares for West LothianBus services starting 19 August

Lothian Country, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lothian, have today announced fare information for its new West Lothian bus services.

The new services, which commence on Sunday 19 August will connect Edinburgh with Bathgate and Livingston and Edinburgh Park with Whitburn.

Nigel Serafini, Commercial Director of Lothian, said:

The introduction of these new routes will cater for the many residents, workers and businesses across West Lothian who depend on reliable transport links to support their daily travel needs. We are looking forward to welcoming members of local communities aboard and to becoming an important part of the local economy, as well as attracting new customers to the network of services that we will be providing across West Lothian and into Edinburgh.

The Lothian Country fare structure will operate on a simple zone system. As well as great value single fares, there will be three Dayticket options for customers.

  • The countryWEST Day Ticket – £5 – provides customers with unlimited travel across West Lothian.
  • The lothianWEST Day Ticket – £7.50 – will allow unlimited access and unrivalled value across all Lothian Country services and Lothian city services.
  • The NETWORK Day Ticket – £9 – which give Lothian Country customers access to all Lothian day services, Airlink and East Coast Buses services at just £9 for a whole day.

For regular Lothian Country customers, discounted m-ticket bundles will also be available to purchase via the Lothian app at special introductory offer prices.
