Top award for LothianWe have been named Public Transport Operator of the Year at the Scottish Transport Awards

We are delighted to have been named Scotland’s public transport operator of the year at this year’s Scottish Transport Awards.

The award was presented for our work in 2017 which included creating over 100 new jobs in the local economy, further modernising of our fleet and stepping in to provide buses services for the community of Queensferry, with the new Lothian Country service.

We also bucked the national trend of declining bus use, with patronage levels remaining strong.

Richard Hall, Managing Director of Lothian, said:

Across our business at Lothian we employ over 2500 people and this award is for every one of them. Every day our teams go above and beyond, to deliver excellence in customer service and operational delivery.

We invest heavily in our fleet, services and people and we’re delighted that this award further underlines our reputation as one of the most innovative and dynamic bus operators in the UK. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for continuing to choose Lothian to travel in and around Scotland’s capital”
