This year’s Royal Highland Show has proved to be the busiest ever for us with an increase of almost 12% in recorded customer journeys.
These figures are a credit to the extra resources on hand for this year’s event. We operated new services to take visitors to the Ingliston Highland Centre and added dedicated customer advisers to our event team who were out on the street to help with travel queries. New for 2017, children and Ridacard holders travelled to the event for free and we offered customers exclusive show discounts with their bus tickets.

We’re increasingly putting on special services and arrangements to help people enjoy the huge range of outstanding events in and around Edinburgh. This more sophisticated approach, which has seen our customer support team on hand to give travel advice to customers together with partnership promotions, is a priority for us in contributing to the leisure economy of the Capital. Using public transport is great value and helps to avoid traffic congestion and parking issues for those in the city. We are delighted that a record number of people chose to travel with us this year.
