Lothian Buses operate a 24 hour service throughout Edinburgh and into the Lothians helping you to get around safe and reliably from Midnight to 0430.
Most NightBuses run every hour from the City Centre with services N22 and N25 running every 30 minutes. On Saturday and Sunday mornings buses run more frequently on services N3, N22, N26, N37 and N44.
A £3.00 NIGHT ticket (bought after Midnight on any bus) or £3.50 DAY&NIGHT ticket (bought after 1800 on any day bus) are valid until 0430 and can be used on multiple NightBuses. If you have a Ridacard, NightBus travel is FREE!
In April we made several improvements to our NightBus Network as we continue to respond to customer growth.
These improvements included:
- N3 – a new journey at 0034 hours from Haymarket to Gorebridge on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
- N22 – part-route buses on Saturday & Sunday mornings from Ocean Terminal extended to Balgreen and Stenhouse, with buses running every 15 minutes on this section.
- N25 – frequency doubled to every 30 minutes – 7 days a week.
- N44 – a new journey at 0049 hours from Haymarket to Tranent on Monday to Friday mornings.
