Diversions planned for Heart of Midlothian FC celebratory parade (to be confirmed)

The parade will begin from outside Edinburgh City Chambers on the Royal Mile (pictured).

Plans are in place for road closures and diversions on Sunday 17 May to accommodate a victory parade should Heart of Midlothian FC win the Scottish Premiership title this Saturday (16 May) against Celtic FC.

The planned parade route will begin at Edinburgh City Chambers on the Royal Mile, heading down The Mound towards Gorgie via Haymarket, ending at Tynecastle Park.

Due to road closures, diversions will be put in place to mitigate against disruption to services but delays are anticipated so we would ask customers to please plan ahead where possible and to factor in extra time to complete their journey. Full diversion information, including route maps, can be found below. Please note that diversion timings may be changed at short notice depending on crowd numbers.

While real-time information will be shown in the Bus & Tram app and on-street trackers, it will not be possible for the journey planner to reflect these changes at such short notice.

Members of our service delivery and retail teams will also be available on street to provide customer assistance where required.

Further updates will be provided on this page as and when available. Please continue to check this page and our social media channels for further information.

If Hearts win the title on Saturday, it’s anticipated there will be disruption in the Gorgie area. We would advice customers to check our Service Updates page which will be updated to provide further information as it happens.
