The Edinburgh Marathon Festival – Scotland’s largest running festival – returns this year over the weekend of 23 – 24 May.
Due to various road closures, a number of our services will be impacted across the capital and East Lothian and we’re working closely with partners to provide links for participants and spectators, as well ensuring we can maintain connections for customers who live and work locally over the weekend.
Full details of affected services will be made available on our Service Updates page.
Shuttle buses will operate in certain areas of East Lothian where required on Sunday 24 May due to road closures for the Marathon and Half Marathon, and we ask that customers plan ahead as traffic congestion in some parts is anticipated. Timetables and maps for shuttle buses can be found below.
We’d like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding, and wish the very best of luck to all taking part in this year’s event.
