Further new and enhanced sevices for Lothian Country customersPhase four of the company's West Lothian Expansion is announced

Lothiancountry, the wholly owned subsidiary of Lothian, have today (Monday 18 February) announced the start of another new route and further improvements to bus services for customers in West Lothian.

Following customer feedback, Service 281 will start on Sunday 31 March, connecting Deans North with Carmondean, Knightsridge, Ladywell, St John’s Hospital, Craigshill, Livingston Centre, Polbeth, West Calder and Loganlea, 7 days a week. The service will provide direct links from parts of Livingston to major retailers in the area, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

Other changes from this date include improved frequency between Blackridge, Armadale, Bathgate and Livingston on the Service 280 and new links from Dedridge West to Edinburgh, as well as to other parts of Livingston and Bathgate on the Service X27. Service X18 will also be revised to provide new links between Whitburn, Armadale, Bathgate and Edinburgh.

Following the successful launch of Service N28 at the end of 2018, Lothiancountry will be enhancing this timetable with the introduction of new weekday journeys to assist late night and early morning customers.

As a result of these improvements, further new jobs will be created, boosting the local economy and cementing the company’s long term commitment to the local community of West Lothian.
