We operate four services to and from Edinburgh Airport, including Airlink 100 – our frequent express service taking you straight to the city centre 24/7

Frequent Express service: Airport to City Centre 24/7 Departures from South St David Street: Every 30 minutes (00:30 – 04:00) then every 10 minutes (04:00 – 00:10) Departures from Edinburgh Airport: Every 30 minutes (01:00 – 04:30) then every 10 minutes (04:30 – 01:00)

Once purchased, just activate your m-ticket as you board the bus and show your phone screen to the driver. You have up to 180 days from purchase to activate and use your m-tickets. Find out more about m-tickets.

On Airport services, please let the driver know where you’re travelling to and whether you’d like to record a Single or Return journey. Once prompted, tap your contactless card or device and collect your ticket – if you asked for a Return, please keep your ticket to show the driver on your return journey.

We accept Visa and Mastercard (including Maestro) cards that display the contactless symbol, or that have been added to Apple Pay and Google Pay

American Express is not accepted. Please be aware that cards issued outside of the UK may incur overseas transaction fees applied by your bank or card issuer. Find out more about using contactless on our services.

Cash
Please be aware that the exact fare is needed when paying with cash on our buses because our drivers cannot give change.

Notes on Airport fares:

  • Ridacards are valid for all journeys on Airport services
  • Eligible Scottish National Entitlement Card holders travel free on Airlink and Skylink day services.
  • Up to 3 children under 5 years old travel free with a fare-paying passenger.
  • Single Fares (Adult £2.50 / Child £1.50) are available on Airlink and Skylink journeys between Edinburgh Airport and Maybury/Gyle Centre, and on Airlink journeys between Maybury and Edinburgh City Centre.
  • Citysingles, Citysmart cards, DAYtickets, LATEtickets and NIGHTtickets are not valid for any journey on Airlink and are not valid on Skylink for journeys between Maybury and Edinburgh City Centre.
  • Pre-purchased Agent Ticket Vouchers can only be used on Airlink.
