Meet the people of Lothian: Hannah NockLearn more about the people working behind-the-scenes at Lothian

Over the coming weeks and months, we’re going to be taking a look behind-the-scenes at Lothian to meet some of the people who keep Edinburgh and the Lothians moving 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The people you’ll meet in this series are just some of the individuals who together form Team Lothian, and make our company what it is. We Are Lothian.

Meet Hannah

Name: Hannah Nock

Job Title: Graphic Designer

Describe your role at Lothian in one sentence.
I make things look good.

How long have you worked for Lothian?
Just over two years. I started on the 1st of April 2019. No joke!

“Being part of Team Lothian means being part of the everyday lives of the people of Edinburgh.”

Favourite part of your job?
Getting to be creative and let my imagination run wild! (The Pride Bus is a good example!) You can have a lot of fun when you have a big bus as your canvas.

Most memorable moment?
Having avoided being photographed for promotional material for my previous job for over six years, within a matter of weeks at Lothian, I was modelling t-shirts for our online shop! I have also been a hand double for a recent video.

The last year has been difficult for everyone due to the ongoing pandemic. What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had in your current role at Lothian?
Not being able to brainstorm ideas with my team… and missing the general office banter!

What’s a common misconception about your job?
People might think that our marketing/comms team just produce timetables and service updates, but we do so much more! Over the past two years, I’ve worked on projects ranging from a Christmas advent calendar to sandwich packaging, and much more in between!

Finally, what does working for Lothian mean to you?
Being part of Team Lothian means being part of the everyday lives of the people of Edinburgh and getting them wherever they need to go.
