Important Information for Student Ridacard HoldersPlease check the validity of your matriculation card

To allow us to offer students discounted travel on our bus services, a valid matriculation card is required by anyone purchasing a Student Ridacard.

The validity of your Student Ridacard is matched to that of the student matriculation card that you show us at the time of purchase. This ensures that the product is only available to those who are eligible.

If you bought your Student Ridacard with a 2017/2018 matriculation card,  it will expire on 30 November 2018. This will also be the case for secondary school pupils who left school this summer.

Holders of a Direct Debit Student Ridacard which is due to expire should visit the Waverely Bridge or Musselburgh Travelshops before this date with their valid matriculation card to be issued with a new, valid Ridacard.

If you are no longer eligible for a Student Ridacard, then you must cancel you Direct Debit instruction. You can do this by visiting the Waverley Bridge or Musselburgh Travelshops and returning your Ridacard. Payments will continue to be collected until instruction is given to stop.  Payments will continue to be collected until instruction is given to stop.

If you’re unsure about the validity of your Ridacard, please visit our Travelshop with your Ridacard and student matriculation card.
