 The battle for the Auld Alliance trophy between Scotland and France takes place on Saturday 7 March at Scottish Gas Murrayfield – and Lothian will be standing by to take fans to all the action!

With direct links to the stadium from the city’s Ingliston Park and Ride on our special Service X12, and direct connections from Edinburgh city centre, Edinburgh airport and West Lothian, we’ve got your travel sorted.

Kick-off is at 14:10, and there will be road closures and bus diversions in effect following the match (there may be diversions put in place before the match if deemed necessary due to crowd numbers). Full details on how to get there, tickets, fares and more can be found below.

Ingliston Park & Ride – Scottish Gas Murrayfield:

  • Service X12 to Murrayfield Road. Departures from 11:10 and then every 15 minutes until 13:25. Following the match, there will be frequent departures from Murrayfield Road from 16:25 with the final journey operating at 18:05.
  • Edinburgh Trams to Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.

Hermiston Park & Ride – Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium:

Diversion information

Roads around Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium will be subject to disruption and closure between approximately 12:40 and 18:10 on matchday (Saturday 7 March).

Haymarket Terrace to Corstorphine Road corridor
Diversions may be in place between 12:40 and 13:40 (dependant on crowd numbers) and will be in place between 15:10 and 18:10 approximately. 

Service 12 (westbound) – between Morrison Link and Corstorphine Road, buses will be diverted via Morrison Street, West Maitland Street, Palmerston Place, Douglas Gardens, Belford Terrace, Belford Road, Ravelston Dykes and Murrayfield Road when heading westbound.

Service 12 (eastbound) – between Corstorphine Road and Morrison Link, buses will be diverted via Murrayfield Road, Ravelston Dykes, Belford Road, Belford Terrace, Douglas Gardens, Palmerston Place and Torphichen Place when heading eastbound.

Services 26, 31, 100, X18 & X19 – between Princes Street and Corstorphine Road, buses will be diverted via Queensferry Street, Queensferry Road, Queensferry Terrace, Ravelston Dykes and Murrayfield Road in both directions.

West Approach Road and Westfield Road corridor
Diversions will be in place between 15:10 and 18:10 approximately.

Services 1 – between Balgreen Road and Dundee Street, buses will be diverted via Balgreen Road, Gorgie Road and Henderson Terrace.

Service 2 – between Balgreen Road and Dalry Road, buses will be diverted via Balgreen Road and Gorgie Road.

Services 3, 25 & 33 – between Gorgie Road and Dalry Road, buses will be diverted via Chesser Avenue, Slateford Road and Ardmillian Terrace.

Services 30, X27 & X28 – between Gorgie Road and West Approach Road, buses will be diverted via Chesser Avenue, Slateford Road and Angle Park Terrace..

For security reasons supporters are urged where possible not to bring bags to Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

Bags larger than A4 size (21cm x 15cm) will not be permitted unless required for medical or childcare reasons. All bags no matter the size will be searched before entry to the stadium. Patrons are encouraged where possible not to bring bags as the process of searching slows progress through turnstiles.
