Ever considered a career in bus driving but didn’t know where to start? Come to Lothian’s ‘Try A Bus’ Day and find out for yourself!

What can I expect at ‘Try A Bus’ Day?

Our upcoming ‘Try A Bus’ Day takes place on Saturday 8 March at Lothian’s Longstone Depot between 1000 – 1400 hrs.

On the day you’ll get the chance to:

  • Meet members of our team who can talk you through the recruitment process.
  • Get behind the wheel of a bus (accompanied by one of our trainers) and see what it’s like to drive for yourself.
  • Start a new career with Lothian!

As the event falls on International Women’s Day (Saturday 8 March), we’re especially keen to hear from any women who are interested in a career in bus driving. Many members of our recruitment and training teams are women, and they’d be delighted to answer any questions you might have.

What are the benefits of working as a Lothian bus driver?

Learn to drive a bus in as little as 4 weeks via our in-house training school (fully funded by the company!) and in return you can expect:

  • Paid Training: Training pay rate £12p/h for the first 5 weeks whilst you train to gain your PCV Bus Licence (Cat D).
