Revised Bus Diversions from 26 April 2008 for 10 weeks

Work is continuing apace at the West End in order to prepare the ground for Edinburgh Trams. As we move into the second phase of tram works in this area, revised bus diversions will be introduced on Saturday 26 April 2008 for 10 weeks.

Details of the diverted routes will be shown at each affected bus stop and these will be updated if any changes are made. Click here to view map. Click here to download a pdf version.

PURPLE ROUTE – Lothian Buses Diversion

FROM Lothian Road TO Princes Street:
Lothian Road, Hope Street, Charlotte Square (south side), South Charlotte Street, Princes Street.
FROM Princes Street TO Lothian Road:
Normal route.

FROM Queensferry Street TO Princes Street:
Queensferry St, Hope St, Charlotte Square (south side), South Charlotte St, Princes St.

RED ROUTE – Lothian Buses Diversions

As with phase 1, buses between Haymarket and Princes Street will be diverted via one way loops to help reduce congestion.

Haymarket TO Princes Street (eastbound)
Normal routes at West Maitland St, then divert via Manor Pl, Melville St (temporary bus stops), Queensferry St, Hope St, Charlotte Square, South Charlotte St and onto normal routes at Princes St.
Princes Street TO Haymarket (westbound)
Normal routes at Princes St then divert via Lothian Rd, West Approach Rd, Morrison Link (temporary bus stops), then onto normal routes at Morrison St.
